    The Unverified Air Quality Monitoring dataset contains unverified historical raw hourly air pollutant concentrations and meteorological data recorded at monitoring stations across BC. These datasets contain the latest month of raw hourly readings from air quality monitoring stations across BC up to the latest hour in Pacific Standard Time (PST). Data are available for download in tabular format. These data are not quality-assured.

    Alberta Climate and Atlas Maps (Opens in a new Window)

    Alberta Climate and Atlas Maps contains gridded and mapped displays of historically observed temperature, precipitation, soil moisture, drought, fire indices, radiation, wind, growing season length, frost, and an agroclimatic atlas. Data are presented as summaries across the monitoring period, which varies depending on the variable and location(s) of interest. Data is available graphically and as mapped products.

    Almanac Averages and Extremes (Opens in a new Window)

    The Almanac Averages and Extremes dataset contains the average and extreme temperature and precipitation observations at monitoring stations over the entire period of record. Where available, the most recent 5 years of daily data are also displayed. Data can be searched by calendar date and station name.

    An inventory of historical climate data and climate projections for the Canadian North (Opens in a new Window)

    This collaborative report presents the work done by the Northern Climate Data Working Group Phase I, which was created in December 2020 by the Canadian Centre for Climate Services with researchers and scientists from a wide range of universities and organizations. The report constitutes a large inventory of datasets that can be useful for future development of climate products to support climate-change adaptation decision-making in the Canadian North. Datasets for meteorological, snow, hydrology, sea ice, and permafrost variables were analyzed for the historical period and for future projections. The main information is presented in the form of tables with links to websites and descriptive documents, many of which are attached as annexes. The Phase II of the Working Group has transformed the inventory presented in this report into an online searchable database (https://nordata.physics.utoronto.ca/en/) A PDF copy of this report is available upon request.     Archive Automated Snow Weather Station Data (Opens in a new Window)

    The Archived Automated Snow Weather Stations (ASWS) dataset includes historical hourly snow water equivalent, snow depth, air temperature, and precipitation for all ASWS stations in BC from 2011 to 2016, as well as historical daily maximum and minimum air temperature, precipitation, snow depth, and snow water equivalent for all stations in BC from date of installation to 2011. Data are available for download in tabular format.

    Arctic Portal (Opens in a new Window)

    The Arctic Portal is a comprehensive gateway to Arctic information and data on the internet, increasing information sharing and co-operation among Arctic stakeholders and granting exposure to Arctic related information and data. The interactive map allows user to select and view specific layers of climate variables, including boreholes, permafrost classification, permafrost extent, details on the active layer, sea ice extent, and historical climate. Additionally, static maps of sea ice, flora and fauna are available for download.

    BC Air Data Archive Website (Opens in a new Window)

    The BC Air Data Archive provides access to historical data from ambient air quality and meteorological stations across BC, including Metro Vancouver's coverage of the lower mainland. Specific variables include pollutant concentrations, temperature, humidity, wind speed & direction, and atmospheric pressure. Data are available for download in graphical or tabular forms, and in 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, or 24 hour averages over daily, weekly, or monthly summary periods.

    BC Station Data (Opens in a new Window)

    The BC Station Data page provides access to historical observations of weather and climate variables from across British Columbia. Locations of stations are shown on an interactive map which enables users to zoom and pan to a region of interest, learn about the stations that are located in the region, filter the displayed stations based on date, variable, observing agency, region and more. In addition to observations, station metadata that describes station location, available variables, observing agency and other basic information can be downloaded into formats that include NetCDF, CSV/ASCII, ArcGIS Shapefile, or a variety of other formats.

    Canadian Climate Normals (Opens in a new Window)

    The Canadian Climate Normals dataset contains 30-year averages of temperature, precipitation, snow depth and extreme climatic conditions at monitoring stations across Canada with at least 15 years of data. Data can be searched by station name, province, or proximity to user. Data are offered for three averaging periods: 1981-2010, 1971-2000 and 1961-1990. The values contained in this dataset are updated at the end of each decade.

    Climate Explorer (Opens in a new Window)

    The Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium's (PCIC) Climate Explorer Tool generates maps, plots and data describing projected future climate conditions for the Pacific and Yukon Region. Climate variables include temperature, precipitation, and humidity. It uses an ensemble of more than 15 Global Climate Models (GCM) and combinations of emissions scenarios provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Users can generate custom maps, plots and data projected to the 2020s, 2050s, and 2080s.
